Oil Prices Under $100

Well, surprisingly enough even after the hurricanes, the price of oil is now under $1oo a barrel.  But, while scanning the headlines it would seem that gas prices are still going up in a lot of areas thanks to the damage caused by the hurricanes, especially the most recent one Ike.

The good news though is that the headlines are also saying that they don’t expect the price hike to last.  This would be really good news for those of you in the areas that were hit.

This still goes to show that there are a lot of factors that can affect the price of gasoline.  We wish peace and safety to all of you that have been negatively affected by this most recent storm!

Hurricanes Causing Oil Increases

If you’ve been watching the news for the last couple of days then you’ve heard of Hurricane Ike looking to cause more problems to US gas prices.  Over the last couple of days the price of oil and gas has been going down, but if this hurricane does the kind of damage that it can, we could very likely see much higher prices in the coming weeks.

The oil and gasoline markets are always in a state of flux.  Don’t make the mistake of assuming that just because prices are going down right now that they are going to stay down.  Unfortunately, it seems that nationwide a lot of people seem to have that type of attitude.

Also, don’t let yourself have the incorrect attitude that fuel additive products don’t work.  Sure, there are products out there that don’t anything.  But there are also plenty of products out there such as DurAlt and Econal that have been proven to work!  Start to save money on gas today by using these great products!

It’s been about 2 weeks since we did a gas prices update, so here you go!

Here are the lowest 10 state averages according to GasBuddy.com:

New Jersey - $3.389
Delaware - $3.390
Missouri - $3.442

Pennsylvania - $3.505
South Carolina - $3.508

Compared with prices from a few weeks ago, the average price of gasoline is still going down.  Let’s just hope that the trend continues!

Even at my local station our price is now down to around $3.77 which is the lowest that I’ve seen it in months, yet we are still quite a bit higher than the states listed above.

Gas Prices Continue to Fall

Reading over some headlines today it would seem that across the nation the price of gas is continuing to fall.  This is good news for everyone as it means that you will feel less pain at the pump when filling up your car.

I know we’ve said this on this blog before, but there are still no real signs that these drops in prices are going to be permanent.  Yes, prices are lower now than they were a few weeks ago, but they are still about $0.89 above the average price of gas just one year ago.

Energy is all the talk in the news these days.  And it would still seem that as a county we aren’t doing much to reduce our dependency on foreign oil.  So until something drastic happens you can probably expect prices overall to continue to be higher than what we were used to a few years ago.

The good news is that there are products on the market that can help you save money on gasFuel additives are the kind of product that a lot of people don’t believe in until they give them a try and see the benefit of what they can really do for you.  Have you given fuel additives a try yet?  If not, why not?  You’re missing out on some great savings!

Will Gas Prices Affect Your Labor Day Vacation?

With Labor Day coming up I’m sure that a lot of you are planning on getting out of town for the weekend.  If this holiday is anything like Memorial Day though, people will either be not traveling as far as they normally would or perhaps not taking a vacation at all

Has the high price of gas affected you this way as well?  Did you know that you can still reduce the pain to your wallet by using proven gas additives?

Just this last week a customer informed us that on a trip from Utah to Idaho they saw a 7-9% increase in their gas mileage using the DurAlt product.

So if you haven’t started using fuel additives yes, maybe it’s time you gave them a try to see what kind of an increase you might get.  We have even heard of companies reporting as big an increase as 20% using Econal.  Why wait?

Gas Prices Update 8/22/08

The last time we did a gas prices update was on the 5th, and the good news is that prices across the country seem to be going down.  I’ve even noticed that my own local stations are now under the $4 mark, which is definitely a good sign.

So here are the best prices across the country right now according to GasBuddy.com.  Is your state on the top 10?

Missouri - $3.427
South Carolina - $3.433
Mississippi - $3.436
Tennessee - $3.442
Delaware - $3.480
Arkansas - $3.496
New Jersey - $3.496
Oklahoma - $3.508
Pennsylvania - $3.527
Texas - $3.529

The crazy thing is that even though prices are down, they are still no where near what all of us would like to see. So now is still a great time to start using fuel additive products to save money on gas. We’re not out of the woods yet, and we don’t know what might happen with prices next year. So now is a great time to get in the habit of using products like DurAlt and Econal.

Cost of Oil Going Down…Will It Last?

The price of oil continues to fall, and the price of gas is continually falling along with it.  This morning a local gas station was showing a price of $3.99 which is the lowest I’ve seen around here in some time.

But will it last?

I’m still a little worried that the general public will see this as a relief, but have you noticed that the price of gas is still going up in waves?  Yes, it goes lower from what it was a week or two ago, but its still higher than it was a year ago!

So I’m not holding my breath yet that things have completely changed.  Only time will tell, but I’ll keep doing everything I can to save money on my gas bill.  You should, too!

Gas Prices Update 8/5/08

The good news today is that nationwide prices are still dropping.  I haven’t noticed it as much here locally, but nationally things are definitely happening.

Here are the lowest prices across the nation according to GasBuddy.com:

North Dakota - $3.577
Oklahoma - $3.581
Missouri - $3.613
South Carolina - $3.634
Ohio - $3.655
Minnesota - $3.657
Arkansas - $3.663
Mississippi - $3.670
Tennessee - $3.685
Iowa - $3.699

This comes as a bit of a surprise as the summer months are still in full swing. Different articles in the news can point to different reasons why prices are dropping, but I’m sure that it’s a combination of various things.

So how have the high prices affected your summer? Did you take fewer vacations or not travel as far for the vacations that you did take?

If you have any more trips coming up, or if you just want to start a good habit, you should use some of our fuel additive products to save money on gas. We now offer not only the DurAlt line of products, but Econal as well. Any of these products can help you improve your gas mileage.
