Will Gas Prices Affect Your Labor Day Vacation?

With Labor Day coming up I’m sure that a lot of you are planning on getting out of town for the weekend.  If this holiday is anything like Memorial Day though, people will either be not traveling as far as they normally would or perhaps not taking a vacation at all

Has the high price of gas affected you this way as well?  Did you know that you can still reduce the pain to your wallet by using proven gas additives?

Just this last week a customer informed us that on a trip from Utah to Idaho they saw a 7-9% increase in their gas mileage using the DurAlt product.

So if you haven’t started using fuel additives yes, maybe it’s time you gave them a try to see what kind of an increase you might get.  We have even heard of companies reporting as big an increase as 20% using Econal.  Why wait?

Gas Prices Update 8/22/08

The last time we did a gas prices update was on the 5th, and the good news is that prices across the country seem to be going down.  I’ve even noticed that my own local stations are now under the $4 mark, which is definitely a good sign.

So here are the best prices across the country right now according to GasBuddy.com.  Is your state on the top 10?

Missouri - $3.427
South Carolina - $3.433
Mississippi - $3.436
Tennessee - $3.442
Delaware - $3.480
Arkansas - $3.496
New Jersey - $3.496
Oklahoma - $3.508
Pennsylvania - $3.527
Texas - $3.529

The crazy thing is that even though prices are down, they are still no where near what all of us would like to see. So now is still a great time to start using fuel additive products to save money on gas. We’re not out of the woods yet, and we don’t know what might happen with prices next year. So now is a great time to get in the habit of using products like DurAlt and Econal.

Cost of Oil Going Down…Will It Last?

The price of oil continues to fall, and the price of gas is continually falling along with it.  This morning a local gas station was showing a price of $3.99 which is the lowest I’ve seen around here in some time.

But will it last?

I’m still a little worried that the general public will see this as a relief, but have you noticed that the price of gas is still going up in waves?  Yes, it goes lower from what it was a week or two ago, but its still higher than it was a year ago!

So I’m not holding my breath yet that things have completely changed.  Only time will tell, but I’ll keep doing everything I can to save money on my gas bill.  You should, too!

Gas Prices Update 8/5/08

The good news today is that nationwide prices are still dropping.  I haven’t noticed it as much here locally, but nationally things are definitely happening.

Here are the lowest prices across the nation according to GasBuddy.com:

North Dakota - $3.577
Oklahoma - $3.581
Missouri - $3.613
South Carolina - $3.634
Ohio - $3.655
Minnesota - $3.657
Arkansas - $3.663
Mississippi - $3.670
Tennessee - $3.685
Iowa - $3.699

This comes as a bit of a surprise as the summer months are still in full swing. Different articles in the news can point to different reasons why prices are dropping, but I’m sure that it’s a combination of various things.

So how have the high prices affected your summer? Did you take fewer vacations or not travel as far for the vacations that you did take?

If you have any more trips coming up, or if you just want to start a good habit, you should use some of our fuel additive products to save money on gas. We now offer not only the DurAlt line of products, but Econal as well. Any of these products can help you improve your gas mileage.

Multiple Headlines Reporting Dropping Prices

Scanning the headlines it seems that prices are continuing to drop.  In my own city I recently saw the price go from $4.15 to $4.09.  I know it’s not a huge reduction, but I’ll take what I can get.

Hopefully if prices continue to go down people will continue to use the new techniques they’ve learned to save money on gas.  This would include using proven fuel additive products like DurAlt and the new Econal that we offer on FuelAdditiveStore.com.  Savings are savings, whether the price of gas is $4 or $3, you can still save money buy using great fuel additives.
