Gas Prices are Starting to Rise…Here We Go Again

I don’t know about your state, but here in Utah the price of gas is definitely starting to go up significantly.  Yesterday the prices at my local gas stations were $1.99.  Give it another week and we’ll probably be over the $2.00 mark.

The good news is that most of the predictions for this coming summer don’t place prices too incredibly high.  I just saw a report on AutoBlog.com that stated that the Energy Department expects prices to top out at about $2.30 a gallon this summer.  Let’s hope their right, but we know that they’ve been off in the past.

The good news is that if you’re using any kind of fuel additive or diesel additive, you can save money on gas no matter what the prices are!  So if you haven’t started to use and fuel additives, now is the time to get into the habit before prices get higher.  Why not save money on gas no matter what?

What Does the Future Hold for Gas Prices?

Has this question or one like it been plaguing your mind from time to time as you’ve been watching the changes in the price of gas and the price of oil?  If so, you’re not alone!

It wasn’t so long ago that many were worried about gas prices hitting the $4.50 and above mark.  But everyone seems to be more comfortable with the current prices.  Have they already forgotten what the prices were a year ago?  Do they think that it will never get that high again?

Well, in the end I don’t think that any of us really know what the future holds for gas prices.  But chances are that things are going to go up.  Are you ready for that?

Did you know that you can start spending less on gas now and in the future by using a good gas additive?  Let’s say you find a product like DurAlt or Econal that can save you at least 10% on your gas cost.  Here’s some math to make you think:

  • If prices are $2.00, you could save $0.20 per gallon
  • If prices are $3.00, you could save $0.30 per gallon
  • If prices are $3.50, you could save $0.35 per gallon

So you see, if prices go up you actually save more!  Do you think that could make a difference in your gas budget?  No matter what the price is, you can save money on gas by using a good gas additive!

    Prices Are Creeping Up!

Here are the current 10 states with the lowest prices according to GasBuddy.com:

    Wyoming - $1.563
    Utah - $1.663
    Montana - $1.726
    Idaho - $1.753
    New Jersey - $1.753
    Colorado - $1.766
    Oklahoma - $1.768
    South Carolina - $1.788
    Missouri - $1.794
    Georgia - $1.798

I’ve noticed that prices are definitely creeping up lately.  It seems like just a week or two ago the price here locally was around $1.55.  How are things in your area?  Are you starting to wonder what prices are going to be like this summer?  I know I am!

Did you know that you can save money on gas no matter what the prices are?  If you aren’t already using a gas additive, you should consider it.  I save at least 10% on my gasoline cost.  You could be doing the same.  Check out FuelAdditiveStore.com for some great fuel additives that will help you save money on gas!

    Have You Seen Prices Fluctuating?

Have prices been pretty stable in your area for the last couple of weeks?  I noticed here locally that prices were in the $1.3o range for a while but now they’ve been holding steady at around $1.55.  What has it been like in your area?

The problem with the coming months is that pretty soon we’ll be getting into that time of year when a lot of the refineries are going to be getting ready to switch over to their summer blends.  And you know what that means - higher prices.

We go through this cycle every year.  Prices drop during the winter and everyone is happy.  Then prices go up again in the late spring months and everyone is upset.

Are you sick of riding the trend?  What if you could spend less than most people do no matter what the current price is?  Well, the truth is you can by using fuel additives.  If you aren’t doing this yet, I have to wonder, “Why not?”  There are products out there like DurAlt and Econal that have been proven to work.

So what’s stopping you from using products that will help you get even more out of each drop of gas?

    Gas Prices Update 10/29/08

Time for another gas prices update!  Looks like things are still going down, which is good news.  Hopefully this trend continues.

Now I don’t mean to be a pessimist, but chances are that we’ll see high prices again in the coming months.  You’ve probably noticed that in the spring and summer prices tend to rise.  Who knows how high they’ll go in 2009!

Here are the lowest prices across the country:

    Oklahoma - $2.103
    Iowa - $2.176
    Kansas - $2.201
    Minnesota - $2.206
    Missouri - $2.219
    Arkansas - $2.228
    Ohio - $2.262
    Texas - $2.268
    Mississippi - $2.282
    North Dakota - $2.319

As you can see, it looks like it’s a good time to live in the Mid-West!  Prices here in Utah are still in the $2.70-$2.80 range.  Good thing I consistently use my gas additives to save 10-20% on my gas bill.

The great thing about using a fuel additive is that no matter what the local price is, I still spend less overall because my gas lasts longer.  If you haven’t started using these products, you should start!
